CARO & TOM | LAITH HALL |JULY 2017
Although it may seem like a long time ago now, we did definitely have a summer this year. So fire up the wood burner and think back to the heady days of summer, all 5 days of them, which coincided perfectly with Caro and Tom’s big day.
Now, I imagine that glorious sunshine and clear blue skies in the build up to a much anticipated wedding is every sun-loving bride and groom’s dream and every perfectionist florist’s gut-churning nightmare. As the degrees edged higher and higher, so too did the dial on the air-conditioning unit and the millimetres of mercury measuring my blood pressure. However, a life-saving combination of good planning, quality flowers and artificially chilled air meant that the swan-style panic was totally unnecessary. All blooms were delivered in fine fettle on the day. Time for a short victory dance.
Peachy tones with a relaxed but sophisticated vibe were the order of the day. Coral peonies and David Austin Juliet roses took centre stage, paired with white scabious, wonderfully scented apricot stocks and pumpkin hypernicum berries. The bridesmaids, a vision in pale blue, held foliage bouquets, a mix of three varieties of eucalyptus. All bouquets were tied with deliciously decadent Kate Cullen hand dyed silk ribbon.
James and Merika from James Green Studio were there to capture all the fun and romance. Thanks so much to them for allowing me to share the images they captured so beautifully.
